Unsave All ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that bulk-removes your Instagram saved posts, reels and collections. This page explains what information the extension touches, why, and what we do — and don't do — with it.

What the extension accesses

  • Your Instagram session cookie — read only so the extension can act on Instagram's own site as you, using the tab you already have open. It is never sent anywhere outside your browser.
  • Your saved posts, reels and collections — read directly from Instagram to display them in the popup and to remove the ones you choose. This data is never transmitted to any server we operate.
  • A PRO license key, only if you choose to enter one — sent to Gumroad's own verification API solely to confirm it's a valid, active purchase.

What we don't collect

  • No analytics or tracking scripts of any kind.
  • No advertising networks.
  • We never see, ask for, or store your Instagram password.
  • We do not build a profile of you or sell any data to anyone.

Where your data lives

Your settings, your daily free-removal count, and your PRO activation status are stored using Chrome's storage.local API — on your own device only. Nothing is synced to an external database.

Third parties

  • Gumroad handles PRO payments and license verification. Reviewing a license key touches Gumroad's API directly from your browser. See Gumroad's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
  • Instagram / Meta Platforms, Inc. already holds your saved-post data — the extension simply acts on it through your own session. We are an independent tool and are not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

Permissions the extension requests, in plain English

  • storage — save your settings, daily count and PRO status on your own device.
  • alarms — keep the background service worker responsive during a run.
  • power — keep your computer awake mid-run so a long clear-out doesn't get interrupted.
  • cookies — read your own Instagram session cookie so requests are sent as you; it is never captured or transmitted elsewhere.
  • downloads — save your CSV, JSON or Excel export file to your computer when you ask for it.
  • Host access to instagram.com — required to read and act on your saved posts.
  • Host access to api.gumroad.com — used only to verify a PRO license key you choose to enter.

Data retention & deletion

Uninstalling the extension removes all of its locally stored data from your browser immediately. Nothing persists on any server we control, because nothing is sent to one in the first place.

Children's privacy

Unsave All is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Continuing to use the extension after a change means you accept the updated policy.
